Aronda is southern most tourism destination of Maharashtra bordering Goa with Terekhol River separating Goa from Maharashtra. It’s one of the most scenic places of Maharashtra with clear blue skies and pristine backwaters. Spend a day in historical town of Sawantwadi with palaces and museum, 20 km from Aronda.
How to reach: By Air: Dabolim Goa airport is 60 Km. Dabolim Airport – Mhapusa – Mandrem Beach – Arambol Beach take ferry to cross the river at Kiranpani. By Rail: Sawantwadi station is 18Km. By Road: Sawantwadi bus stand is 26 km. From Mumbai, NH – 17 to Goa, reach Sawantwadi, turn towards railway station on the Redi road, Pass Malewad – Aronda Police Check post & travel straight to reach Aronda, Kiranpani.
