Devbagh is a small fishing village based on a thin strip of land with Karli river backwaters on one side and Arabian sea on the other. Devbagh beach is adjacent to Tarkarli beach and ends at Devbagh sangam. It is easily accessed by the Malvan-Tarkarli road. Devbagh beach is less crowded even during high tourist season and attacts tourist looking for peace and nature. Duration of stay: A two day stay is recommended. Things to do at Devbagh: The Devbagh beach is extension Tarkarli beach and one can walk along the beach straight upto Tarkarli. - Boat rides to the Karli river backwaters or into Arabian sea to explore Tsumani island, Bhogve beach, Nivati beach from Devbagh sangam.
One can see Dolphins jumping out of the sea, just 20 minute boat ride from Devbagh sangam. Visit Devbagh sangam where river Karli meet the arabian sea. Visit Sindhudurg/Malvan fort -Malvan jetty is 20 minutes journey via road from Devbagh.Tickets are avalable @ Rs 25/adult. Snorkeling or scuba diving is available near Sindhudurg/Malvan Fort through out the year except in monsoons. Tickets and professional guides are available at Malvan jetty @ Rs 250/person. Other near by places within 30 minutes drives are Malvan town, Chivla beach, Ozar caves.
How to reach: On NH - 4 after after entering Kolhapur city, reach to Rankala State Transport Depot; this road further will take you to Radhanagari - Phonda and will touch NH 17 at Humras Teetha. On NH 17 after crossing Kankawali, take a right turn from Kasal and reach Malvan town. Just after State Transport Bus stand in Malvan town, take a left turn to reach MTDC Tarkali and keep driving straight crossing, Tarkarli jetty on Karli river [Sri Sai Gajanan Resort-opp karli river back waters] then Datta Samant English school at Devbagh and further 2 km you will reach Devbagh where you will find most of the resorts.
