Dapoli-Ladghar is located at a strategic point for those wishing to travel to all the nearby places of tourist interest. From here, one can visit murud as well as karde beaches and also visit the famous Ganesh temple located on a hill at Anjarle. Dapoli is also famous for being home to Krishi Vidyapeeth (Agriculture university) which is the second largest agriculture university in Asia. The place is frequented by tourists from Pune and Mumbai especially during weekends.

Things to do:

• Harnai fort : It is located at a distance of about 18 Kms from Dapoli. The fort was built by shivaji and stand surrounded by sea on all sides. Looking at the fort, one is forced to marvel at the architectural finesse of that period. During evenings, one can also see the auction of fishes being brought by trawlers in the beach.
• Murud – Karde Beach - It is located on the rugged Konkan coastline and is 11km from Dapoli. The Murud beach is considered to be among one of the safest beach due to its very smooth shoreline which doesn’t go into a steep slope like others. One can also take part in various activities like parasailing, biking, camel-riding, bullock-cart, etc.
• Anjarle – The ganesh temple at anjarle is considered to be very holy and devotees throng the temple. Outside the ganesh temple, it is believed that the footprints on the stone belongs to that of lord ganesha.
• Panhale Kazi – It is a famous rock-cut monument and filled with ancient caves. It is located at a distance of approx. 35 km from Murud-Harnai.
• Durga Temple, Murud – One can also visit the famous 18th Century Durga Temple at Murud with excellent wooden engravings on pillars. A large bell hangs above the left side of the entrance. It is said that after winning the battle of Vasai, Chimaji Appa - the great Maratha warrior had brought that bell from one of the churches.
