Harnai Murud is gaining tourist importance day by day and is usually visited by people from Pune and Mumbai during the weekends. It is located on the rugged Konkan coastline and is 11km from Dapoli. Apart from the beautiful beaches, there is an old fort too at Harnai. This area is not only famous for "Alfanso Mangoes" but also historical importance as many eminent politicians, educationist, Freedom fighters and Social revolutionaries belong to Dapoli Taluka. (Eg. Baba saheb Ambedkar, Lokmanya Tilak, Sane Guruji, Maharshi Karve). Vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian home made Konkani cuisine is available as most of the home stays.

• Visit Harnai fort, around 6 km. from Murud town and witness different kinds of fish and auction of the same.
• Panhale Kazi, the famous rock-cut monument and ancient caves approx. 35 km from Murud-Harnai.
• Dabhol power project, roughly 30 km from Murud town.
• Visit Univare hot springs, 40 km from Murud.
• Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth [Agriculture University] is asia second largest agriculture university and is a major attraction for students across the world.
• Visit Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve [Bharat Ratna, 1958] museum, who established the first Indian University for women (SNDT).
• Visit 18th Century Durga Temple with excellent wooden sculptures. A large bell hangs above the left side of the entrance. It is said that after winning the battle of Vasai, Chimaji Appa - the great Maratha warrior had brought that bell from one of the churches.
• Kesavraj Temple, 4 km from Harnai Murud located on hills of Asud village. The place is full of scenic beauty with water fall thought Gomukh all through out the year.
• Visit are Anjarle ganesh temple, 9 km from Murud.
